Feeding Folks for Jesus: Easter 04-24-2011

Our Easter: Feeding Folks for Jesus:Free food. Location: Truck Stop Ministry: New Beginnings. Characters: Pastor Wild Bill, Big John (great storyteller,AKA singing Elvis), Kitty: God's servant from New Mexico (flew in just for today), 9 mo. pregnant woman & husband on their way to honeymoon, young mexican man from Cailf., older woman & her son  who survived a head on car collision, unsaved man from Cols. Ga, older black man who could play the piano beautifully, young black man who sang "Because he Lives" flawlessly, Indian couple with flat tire, Gospel Quartet singer with flat tire, many many truck drivers first time to the truck stop from Miss., Indiana, Pensacola,etc. All of us sitting under a pine tree, breeze blowing, eating, enjoying fellowship, praising God for Jesus, and praying for all! Best part of the day: Pastor Bill gave the unsaved man a Bible and he took it home with him with an invitation to come back anytime. Sounds like a crowd Jesus would be in, right? Awesome Day!

Last night at Church: Isaiah 53:4-6

4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
Jesus made the choice to get on the cross for us, what choices are you making today for Him?

Dinner Last Night

This was a special meal, not because we had spaghetti & salad, Ruthie's favorite meal at my house, but because she offered to say the blessing. She said: Thank you for my Mommy & Daddy, Nandi & Buck, and for making Cody silly. Amen! Gotta love the purity in childrens prayers.
